Daunting, This Task of Writing My First Post

Welcome to my blog!

I'm guessing that's the way everyone starts a new blog, but really and truly, I want to welcome you and express how much I appreciate you taking the time to read this first post. I'm a little nervous...really, why WOULD you read my blog? You have plenty of other things you probably should be doing right now! So I'm grateful you've joined me for the moment.

That's me, by the way...trying to take a picture of myself without it looking like I'm taking a picture of myself.

My boys were all excited to find out that I'm starting a blog, but I told them that it won't be a blog like my friend Amy's (here is where if I knew how to do it, I would insert a handy dandy little link to her blog...but you can find it on my sidebar - "Life & Times of the Shrock 5") or like another friend Anneliese's blog Hey, would you look at that? I figured out how to add a link!

Anyway this blog will mostly be an extension of my online business, which consists of handcrafted jewelry creations. My hope is to connect with other artisans in this way, to share some of my recent creations with you, and to spotlight my customers.

Thanks again for joining me for this initial post (so glad that it's done). I am always the worst at starting something, but usually once I've started, it's smooth sailing.

  1. Oh, I'm soo glad I get to be the first to comment on your first post! You did it! And I look forward to more. . .
Your picture is cute... did you get a haircut recently?
Thank you for coming by my blog when I was quite new at it... arousing my curiosity as to who this person was and the rest is history... I have an online friend!
By the way, I love the purple grape cluster earings!

  2. Congratulations on your first post- great job!! I hope you enjoy blogging as much as I do and I can't wait to see more jewelry pictures:-).

  3. Great first post. Welcome to the blogging community, it is nice to have you join.

  4. Hey there, just stumbled across your new blog! Cool! And love the pic of you & your husband from 16 years ago at King's Dominion - you look like a high schooler! Just as I remember you! Good luck on the blogging, hope you're at it more than I am. :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on my blog. It's a pleasure to hear from you!
